The Backup Email Service provides an email store and forward mechanism by utilizing ENTEGRATION's backup email servers in our secure data center. If the primary mail server is unavailable, the backup email server will accept email for the primary server. While accepting email for the primary server, the backup email server periodically checks to see if the primary server is back online. Once the primary server is back online, the Backup Email Service forwards the email to the primary email server and recipients can then retrieve their email.

The Backup Email Service will store incoming mail for 5 days and has a maximum message size of 2 MB. If the primary email server is not online after 5 days, the email stored by the backup email server would be returned to the sender with the message that the email was not delivered.

The Backup Email Service provides companies with a simple, cost-effective way to ensure that incoming email is not missed while their primary email systems are unavailable. This can be due to a loss of communication to the Internet as well as if your Primary Email Server is unavailable for any reason.
